The glass cubes – architectural trademarks of Swarovski Wien – form a connection between downtown Vienna's exuberant pedestrian mall and the shimmering shopping world of Swarovski. The one of famous glass cubes got a fresh new look via Gwenael Nicolas, Curiosity.

His installation "Expectation" can be seen from both Kaerntner Strasse and Marco d'Aviano Gasse at Swarovski Wien. An homage to the eponymous painting by Gustav Klimt, it studies rhythm, movement, and surprise through the arrangement of countless mirrored mobiles. In describing his work, Nicolas says, "I always wonder why architecture does not move and why nothing remains from motion graphics. So I always intend to fuse the two into spaces in motion."

Gwenael Nicolas will join the following two immportant exhibitions:

The major Exhibition - Event for the Fuori Salone 2O11, produced by Interni. The INTERNI event on the theme of mutant architecture establishes a relationship with these values through experimental installations designed by a series of international architects, to explore – also on a metaphorical, symbolic level – new possibilities for mutant objects and architectures, to be reused in different contexts.

The nine large installations by architects and designers, each autonomous and complete in its own right, will be positioned in the spaces of the University.Nicolas's "Suspended colors" installation will be seen in Cortile dei Bagni.

The installation defined by a corridor of fibers in constant motion, it comes to life when it is touched by a breeze or a visitor. Developed in collaboration with Deborah and Color Kinetics Japan.

The "TRON designs CORIAN®" exhibition is an original design project which will be art directed by DuPont and Disney and created using DuPont™ Corian® high-tech surface for a surprising scenography. Under the guidance of Disney and DuPont, leading-edge companies, architects and designers will create for "TRON designs CORIAN®" fascinating interior design solutions and architectural forms, taking inspiration from "TRON : Legacy" and exploiting the versatility of DuPont™ Corian® techno-surface. Nicolas has designed Flynn's Arcade interpretation,the entrance of the exhibition space.
