Curiosity designed a bottle and package for special liqueur, launched from Choya Umeshu Co., Ltd., the top ume (plum) fruit liqueur maker who enjoys high share of ume liqueur market in Japan. The product, “UTAGE AGED 5 YEARS”, offers the superior quality ume liqueur made from plenty of premium ume fruits aged 5 years, which is segmented in the highest class of the maker.

As the globally beloved Japanese liqueur, the bottle was designed aiming to become a recognizable icon which eloquently expresses the product quality.


 

The symbolic Choya logo with shape of ume is indicated in the bottle cap form with bold glass. The design of the cap leads the whole bottle form:
The exquisite line continued from the top to the bottle body creates a nuance and subtle shade, which emphasizes a beauty of aged amber liquid inside the bottle, seen through the thick glass. The dignity of whole bottle design conjures the rich taste and flavor of the exceptional liqueur.

 

Appropriately for “utage (banquet)”in its product name, the bottle celebrates the exclusive liqueur with the iconic design, packaged in the deluxe box reminiscent of kimono.
